Baxsaa: /bəksɑː, bʌksɑː, baksā/; noun [c], (Hindi: बक्सा, lit. a box)
“Baxsaa” is an anglicised borrowing of the Hindi word “बक्सा,” which essentially means a box, case, or container with sturdy sides and sometimes a lid that carries goods or utility items inside it over a distance.
Our brand was born with India’s artistic charisma and has the traditional richness of thoughts ingrained deep in its spirits. So, here’s the thought that started it all —
An amalgamation of printing, branding, and marketing—-what would that look like? The concept of packaging popped up in my mind. Although it was an instinctive answer, it was right on in so many ways! The only drawback was that I lacked confidence initially. Maybe, because it was that part of product development and branding that hadn’t been explored much as a viable mainstream business.
I have endeavoured in both printing and marketing at two separate stages of my life. This could be why I conceived the idea to start a business centred entirely on packaging. My dreams grew resilient, and I put my ambitions to work-—and first launched The Baxsaa Co in October 2021. Since then, every day has been a journey to learn and grow, to inculcate and eliminate what’s working and what’s not, and of course, to think up and chalk out new designs.
Shreshth Parmar, our Business Growth Strategist, led monumental changes in how Baxsaa functioned. He revolutionised the company processes and introduced new mechanisms to give Baxsaa a firm footing on the ground. Our teams also expanded, and we opened up two offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. Skip to the present; we are all set to introduce an Experience Centre in Mumbai, which will be the first of its kind in India.
